Confidence is such a hard concept to define.

It is how you feel when things are going well and nothing is too much of an obstacle to achieving your chosen task. Solutions are easy to find and people are helpful towards you, if they aren’t then this isn’t a problem because you are resourceful and able to move forward despite this.

On the other hand imagine a time when you felt that life was an uphill struggle and you could not think how to achieve the goals you your heart desired. Everything you do is difficult and energy sapping. No one seems to want to help and they seem to be obstructing you rather than helping. Sound familiar?

My approach to coaching is one of giving ‘unconditional positive regard’ To quote Carl Rogers.

I believe that everyone has the ability to achieve what they want to achieve. I am not saying it will be easy but with the confidence of knowing you are doing your very best and with a coach helping you to think about all of your journey, putting it into proportion, a step at a time, you will go a long way, much further and quicker than you would doing it on your own.

My method of coaching is to make it upbeat and fun in a structured way. You may not notice the structure as I take you though a series of stages to help you to become re-empowered within yourself.                                                                                                                              I use my skills to encourage you to think positively about your own life experience and to draw out the strengths and skills that you may have forgotten you had or that may be transferable to other areas of your life. As we talk I will encourage you to think about what you want to achieve and to start to plan and set goals for yourself.
